Jaros II is a planet in the Alpha Quadrant, around 15 lightyears from Capella. The planet itself is the site of a Starfleet prison facility, known as the Jaros II Starfleet stockade.

Not built like a traditional like a traditional Prison complex, it has no walls or guard towers. There are roaming guards around the perimeter of the facility and there are several security security sensor stations located around the facility. This might seem like lax security but there is a powerful transported inhibitor field which prevents transporters beaming people up, or down, except for specific locations, which are usually heavily secured. If a detainee managed to get outside of the facility, or out of range of the inhibitor field, there is still nowhere for them to go as the facility is the only inhabited area of the planet.

Further security is in orbit, in the shape of a Sigma class station and usually 2 starships of variying classes. This station, Starbase 221 regularly scans the planet, and maintains its own inhibitor field, which keeps the area above the range of the planetary field, transporter free also.
